Flying longhaul with Air New Zealand
Earlier this week I travelled from Los Angeles to Auckland and then onto Christchurch New Zealand; flying with Air New Zealand, our national carrier is an experience that aways leaves me proud to be a Kiwi!
The Koru Lounge is very peaceful and spacious with a good selection of New Zealand wine and the ability to have a light meal, should you need it before boarding. One of Air New Zealand's newer features of flying is a Concierge team member, who personally walks through the Lounge prior to boarding to meet and greet passengers and assist them with any questions they may have.
Upon boarding I was shown my seat in business class, offered champagne or orange juice, provided a wine list and fantastic menu. The meal and service that followed was absolutely outstanding, and with a great range of movies and television to view, in-flight offerings have certainly come along way! Bed time came and the cabin crew set up the bed and yes it was completely flat with its own memory mattress and duvet; I woke to a fine breakfast, piping hot coffee and got over 8 hours sleep! Air New Zealand is really a first class airline that I can highly recommend!
